‌Campus Update on Commencement and Dining Access

Cal Poly Humboldt will hold a modified in-person Commencement with local ceremonies on Saturday, May 11, 2024. More details will be announced later this week.

All students who have a meal plan, including those who live off campus, are free to use The J, College Creek Marketplace, and the Cupboard dining facilities, which will continue to operate during their regular business hours. 

With the hard closure of campus in place, no one is allowed to walk through the center of campus. To access Dining facilities, students must walk down LK Wood to Granite Avenue and back. Housing residents are free to leave and return to campus.

The North Coast Piano Festival is dedicated to inspiring and training young pianists. Under the guidance of world-famous pedagogues, the festival presents wonderful opportunities for piano students ages 13-23 to experience the art of intensive learning and performing. 

The festival encourages young musicians to expand and enrich their knowledge and performing skills at the piano. We are motivated to give the festival participants a promotional platform in their future dedication.

The North Coast Piano Festival is hosted by the Department of Music at Cal Poly Humboldt in the beautiful city of Arcata, California. Located on the coast between San Francisco and the Oregon border, Arcata is surrounded by giant redwoods and dazzling ocean views. At the North Coast Piano Festival, every student will be able to take private lessons, participate in studio and master classes, take part in theory and accompanying classes and compete at the festival piano competition. The students will be able to enjoy great concerts performed by our world-class faculty and enjoy a relaxing time in the beautiful redwoods. Resident chaperones will help take care of the students and their needs.
