International Education Week

Learn about international issues and events during a week each February. Campus and community members are admitted FREE to all activities. IEW features a keynote speaker and featured lectures; panel discussions on current events and globalization; workshops on studying, working, living and communicating abroad; presentations on India, North Africa, Central Asia, and more; Passport Day; food, fashion and fun from around the world.

OLLI Open House

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Humboldt holds an open house at the beginning of each semester. It's an opportunity to meet other OLLI participants, meet OLLI instructors, review the newest course offerings, and register for OLLI classes. You may also join OLLI or renew your membership at the OLLI open house.

Social Justice Summit

This 2-day conference on campus is offered each spring in early March. Open to students, university staff and community members, it offers keynote speakers, workshops, presentations and social events will focus on art and activism, while honoring the movements and struggles of the past. One unit of academic credit is available.

Latino Film Festival Seminar

In collaboration with the College of the Redwoods, Humboldt is proud to present the International Latino Film Festival each year in early March. View and discuss three films at the Minor Theater in Arcata, Calif. Academic credit is optional and the public is welcome to attend.

 

Teaching Individual/Agent-Based Modeling

A 4-day course designed primarily for college professors and instructors who want to add individual-based modeling to their teaching and research skills.
