About Extended Education
Extended Education is within the College of Extended Education & Global Engagement (CEEGE) at Cal Poly Humboldt, and has been offering learning opportunities and professional development for people of all ages for more than 50 years.
Extended Education is self-supporting. The funds from course enrollment pay faculty salaries and other expenses.
As an extension of Cal Poly Humboldt, Extended Education serves to expand the reach of the university's rich educational resources to a wide population of learners who may not otherwise have access to traditional academic offerings.
Extended Education strives to be the university's hub of innovation, and a catalyst for expanding access to personal and professional development.
In collaboration with campus, community, business and government partners, Extended Education designs and deliver educational programs that are dynamic and responsive, in order to best meet the academic, professional, creative and lifelong learning goals of our diverse student communities.
We acknowledge that Cal Poly Humboldt is located on the unceded lands of the Wiyot people, where they have resided from time immemorial. We encourage all to gain a deeper understanding of their history and thriving culture. As an expression of our gratitude we are genuinely committed to developing trusting, reciprocal, and long lasting partnerships with the Wiyot people as well as all of our neighboring tribes.
Please consider contributing to the Wiyot Tribe at honortax.org and/or to the Humboldt Native American Food Sovereignty Lab.
