Beth Bray

Beth Bray

Beth has spent her fundraising career working primarily in small, rural non-profits where she gets to do everything from the big picture planning to the little administrative tasks that are necessary for a successful development program. Helping passionate volunteers feel empowered to go out and ask for donations is her favorite part of the job.    Since 2008, Beth has held management level positions in a variety of organizations from health care, to conservation, to higher education. She brings this hands-on experience to the virtual classroom in New Designs for Fundraising where she has served on the faculty since 2015.    Beth is proud to be a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), a distinction she earned in 2014. She has served on the Board of Directors of CASA of Humboldt, League of Women Voters of Humboldt County, and Wild Souls Ranch. She enjoys reading, cooking, and traveling.

She has served as lead faculty for The Fund Raising School, an international training program for the Center on Philanthropy of Indiana and Purdue Universities. In 2007, she created the North Coast Fund Raising Institute, a training program designed to reach out to Northern California and Southern Oregon to meet the needs of not-for-profit organizations that have little or no access to professional training in this largely rural area.
