California State Summer School for the Arts (CSSSA)

California State Summer School for the Arts is a summer arts school for young people in grades 9 through 12. It is a rigorous, pre-professional, month-long summer training program in animation, writing, dance, film, music, theater, and visual arts, for talented artists of high school age.

CSSSA provides a supportive environment in which students hone acquired skills and explore new techniques and ideas for an intense and exciting learning experience.

Courses are offered in animation, writing, dance, film, music, theater, and visual arts. Three units of college credit is available through Extended Education at Cal Poly Humboldt.
