Update on Remote Instruction and Work, and Campus Operations

Campus will now be closed through Sunday, April 28, and work and instruction continue to be remote. The University is making various contingency plans, including possibly keeping campus closed beyond that. Updates about remote learning and working, paychecks, housing and dining, and health and counseling services at humboldt.edu/emergency.

Michael Charlton

Michael Charlton became a professional river guide in 1980. In 1982 he began teaching whitewater guide school and swiftwater rescue. He started Redwoods and Rivers Rafting in 1994. Redwoods and Rivers Rafting is a locally owned business specializing in family and group rafting trips, whitewater guide training, swift water rescue training, white water safety, and team building.

Swift Water Rescue Training: Rescue III, NAWA, and El Dorado County Sheriff Dept., Sierra Rescue

Swift Water Rescue Instructor: El Dorado County Sheriff Dept. 1981-1984
