Federal Financial Aid

Cal Poly Humboldt does not provide Federal financial aid for international students. Only students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents are eligible for Federal financial aid. As scholarship opportunities are limited, international students are encouraged to explore scholarships, loans and sponsorship possibilities within their home countries.

Work Opportunities

Students with either the student visa (F1) or scholar visa (J1) are allowed to work on campus on a part-time basis (20 hours/week or less) while school is in session and full-time (40 hours/week) during breaks, as long as they maintain their F1/J1 status. There are a wide variety of employment opportunities available on campus. Consult the Career Center to learn about available opportunities, and International Programs about how to obtain employment while you are studying.
