Brown Bag Lunch Online Presentation with Caroline Griffith, Advocate Jane Woodward & Northcoast Environmental Center, Northcoast Environmental Center: Get ideas to help you engage more deeply in local politics, whether you are introvert, extrovert, teacher, researcher, artist or observer.

There are many ways to affect local politics, from applying for an appointed Board or Commission, engaging in policy-making through public comment and lobbying through nonprofit groups such as the North Coast Environmental Center, mentoring others in how to engage with these systems, and advocating for more equitable representation and decision-making. This presentation will provide a smorgasbord of ideas to help you engage more deeply in local politics, whether you are introvert, extrovert, teacher, researcher, artist or observer.

Northcoast Environmental Center

Caroline Griffith is an omnivore of local activism currently serving as the executive director of the Northcoast Environmental Center. She is passionate about collaboration, and a true believer in small "d" democracy and the power of people. Although she works on many local environmental and social issues, her long-term goal is a complete paradigm shift from our extractive culture of dominance to a collaborative culture of solidarity.
