EcoNews journalist Caroline Griffith and NEC executive director Larry Glass celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Northcoast Environmental Center, discuss lessons learned from a half-century of environmental advocacy, and talk about what's in store for the future.

The Northcoast Environmental Center promotes an understanding of the relations between people and the biosphere and to conserve, protect, and celebrate terrestrial, aquatic, and marine ecosystems of northern California and southern Oregon.

Larry Glass is a former Eureka City councilor and fixture of the environmental community on the North Coast. Caroline Griffith is a political organizer, activist, and public-meeting enthusiast.
