Campus Closed Through the Weekend Amid Ongoing Protest

ARCATA, California — Protesters continue to occupy Siemens Hall, plus another building at Cal Poly Humboldt. Campus will now be closed through the weekend, and work and instruction continue to be remote. The University is making various contingency plans, including possibly keeping campus closed beyond that.  - April 24, 2024 - 2:14 p.m.

Brown Bag Lunch Online Presentation with Caroline Connor M.D., M.P.H., & Penny Figas, Humboldt-Del Norte County Medical Society: Learn about what is being done in Humboldt and Del Norte to build pipelines for future medical professionals through the HUMPET Committee (Humboldt Del Norte Pre-medical Education Task Force).

Dr. Caroline Connor is a retired Family Physician-Headache Specialist in Eureka. For the last three years she has been working with a multitude of entities including UC Davis and Stanford Medical Schools, Cal Poly Humboldt, College of the Redwoods, and Humboldt County Office of Education to expose students to a career in medicine.

Penny E. Figas is executive director of the Humboldt-Del Norte County Medical Society. Penny has dedicated the past 45 years of her career advocating for physicians in Humboldt and Del Norte Counties.
