Dear Students and Colleagues,

As we all come to terms with the recent events on campus, it is important to recognize the emotional impact they have taken on us, individually and collectively. We want to acknowledge that this has been an extremely challenging week for Cal Poly Humboldt. We are hurting within our campus community and beyond, and we have much work in front of us to reset, rebuild, and heal. This will take time. We will do this together.

Brown Bag Lunch Online Presentation with Rees Hughes, Author and Trail Guide: Discover local trails that are nearby and accessible. There are increasing numbers of paved Class I trails, and trails that meet State Park ADA standards throughout Humboldt County. Whether you are using a motorized scooter, wheelchair, or other assistive device, explore the opportunities to enjoy the outdoors.

Rees Hughes has authored a local trail guide, Hiking Humboldt: 101 Shorter Day Hikes, Urban and Road Walks, and edited three books on the Pacific Crest Trail. He has been an advocate for the Humboldt Bay Trail, and a volunteer trail steward for more than a decade.
