A Message to the Campus Community

May 1, 2024 - 1:47 p.m.

Dear Students and Colleagues,

As we all come to terms with the recent events on campus, it is important to recognize the emotional impact they have taken on us, individually and collectively. We want to acknowledge that this has been an extremely challenging week for Cal Poly Humboldt. We are hurting within our campus community and beyond, and we have much work in front of us to reset, rebuild, and heal. This will take time. We will do this together.

Inside the PBS/KEET Production: What’s on Your Bucket List...in Humboldt County

Tracey Barnes Priestley

Brown Bag Lunch Online Presentation with Tracey Barnes-Priestley, M.A.

Monday, January 25, 2021 - 12:00pm

Last year 12 local residents between the ages 60-82 were selected to check something off from their bucket lists by exploring a personal interest or trying something new. No matter what the activity was, guests walked away from their experience feeling accomplished, and happy for having tried something outside of their normal lives. Hear what they have to say about their experiences and get an insider’s look at the upcoming PBS/KEET production.

Tracey Barnes-Priestley, M.A., is a life coach with a master’s degree in community counseling psychology and more than 40 years of experience as a counselor, educator and consultant. After closing her private practice, she continues to write about life on her blog, "The Second Half." She is appreciating a richly satisfying "third act" that includes everything from producing/hosting a PBS television show to polishing her second novel … and loving her five amazing grandkids!
