Brown Bag Lunch Online Presentation with Ann Lindsay, Life Plan Humboldt, & Soo Im, Architect, Perkins Eastman: Ann Lindsay, President of Life Plan Humboldt (LPH), will give an update on progress towards establishing the first nonprofit senior life plan community in the region.

Soo Im, Prinicipal architect from Perkins Eastman, is leading design efforts for LPH, and will share current design plans for the "aging in place" community. She brings with her more than twenty years of experience, primarily focused on senior living and special-needs housing communities. She helped design the first urban, multi-story Green House, enabling residents with conditions such as multiple sclerosis and ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) gain maximum independence, and her projects have won numerous design awards.

Ann Lindsay, MD, is president of the Life Plan Humboldt Board of Directors. Before turning to life plan community design, she had a family practice in Arcata for 28 years, and served as Humboldt County health officer for 18 years.

Soo Im is dedicated to innovation and research, and prior to moving to the West Coast, she spent 12 years as an adjunct professor at Boston Architectural College. She is a graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, M.Arch, B.S. ,Architectural Design. She is passionate about her work to advance the best design for the older adults, with solutions that promote the unique qualities of each community.
