Michelle Rainer, LCSW, is the coordinator of the Pathway Project and Northern Region SERVE at Cal Poly Humboldt. This role involves developing relationships with 55 tribes and numerous tribal organizations throughout Northern California, and facilitating development of social work internships in tribal organizations. She previously worked in child welfare and adoptions for Santa Clara County, and was a clinician at United Indian Health Services. She has been teaching in social work at Humboldt State University/Cal Poly Humboldt since 2005, both in the undergraduate and graduate programs.
