ARCATA, California — Protesters continue to occupy Siemens Hall, plus another building at Cal Poly Humboldt. Campus will now be closed through the weekend, and work and instruction continue to be remote. The University is making various contingency plans, including possibly keeping campus closed beyond that.

Phil Lazzar has been teaching with OLLI at Humboldt for over 10 years. His course topics vary from tips on home selling and buying, to Introduction to Torah and Einstein's theory of relativity. In 2022, he offered a class to help grandparents connect with their grandchildren. Phil has a contagious enthusiasm for his subjects and his illustrative stories keep students engaged.
