Yoga for Ecological Grief

With Laura Johnson, PhD, RYT-500, HSU Lecturer, Yoga Teacher

This class offers a unique opportunity to honor, open to, and move through collective grief for the world in these times.

Following one class meeting with an introductory lecture and chance for discussion and connection (recorded for those who cannot attend live), each week you will receive a recorded yoga practice (70-110 minutes each; four total) consisting of breathwork, meditations, readings, mudras, and accessible yin and restorative poses, plus an accompanying handout and a short recorded talk expanding on the week’s practices and themes.

Beginning from a grounded and embodied place, this heart-supporting, heart-opening series cultivates compassion and equanimity, loving-kindness and joy, courage and resilience.

Participants will gain lifetime access to the recorded classes and a toolkit of supportive practices to employ both on and off the mat.

Thurs., Oct. 7 virtual plus 4 weekly recordings • 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

$40 • Class #: 43898
