Writing as a Spiritual Journey

With Bonnie Shand

Allow your writing practice to be an adventure into surprising and unexplored territory. Risk stretching your creative intentions and aspirations to discover how your prose or poetry can transport you into a deeper place of truth. Learn to trust your muse and follow where she leads you. Come to class with a direction in mind for your writing. Work will be shared and feedback received in a safe environment.

Bring either one page of single spaced poetry, or up to two pages of prose, double spaced, to the first class. You must have previously taken the instructor's beginning class and/or have creative writing experience including an understanding of recurrence, language rhythm, image, metaphor and simile, creative tension and revision. Students who have previously taken this class are welcome to return.
