Get a helpful explanation for the increase in the use of the term "fake news," as well as give you some tools to evaluate news sources.

In the digital age, anyone can publish anything on the internet. This lecture will provide a helpful explanation for the increase in the use of the term "fake news," as well as give you some tools to evaluate news sources. We'll also review popular fact-checking sites.

All sessions will follow Senior Planet's curriculum, and will be taught by a certified Senior Planet trainer.

For classes being offered on campus M-F, and if you are an OLLI member, a parking permit is included in your class fee. Please allow yourself enough time to get your parking permit and to get to the classroom to arrive on time. See campus map. Visitors and guests to campus/OLLI classes must be either fully vaccinated or have tested negative within 72 hours of coming to campus. We encourage all participants to take a rapid test before attending any OLLI class or event.
