The number of people diagnosed with Alzheimer's is increasing at an alarming rate. Learn the ten early warning signs and symptoms of Alzheimer's. This course will cover the latest research being conducted to find a cure and the ongoing funding efforts at both the State and Federal levels. Several handouts will be available covering these topics. The course will also provide information on ways you can help. Details about the local Walk To End Alzheimer's on Oct. 12 will also be presented.

Lynn McKenna

Lynn McKenna is a committee member for the local Walk to End Alzheimer's and co-chair of Alzheimer's Impact Movement (AIM).

 

Kim Coelho

Kim Coelho

Kim Coelho is the special events manager in Humboldt County for the Alzheimer's Association, and she coordinates the Humboldt County Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Previously she worked for the American Cancer Society for 15 years. Kim has a degree in journalism and a masters degree in community health. 

 

Doug Durham

Doug Durham

Doug Durham serves on the board of directors at the Humboldt Senior Resource Center. He is a member of the planning committee for the Walk to End Alzeimer's. He also grows champion roses.
