With Richard Stull, Tai Chi Instructor
Build on the practices learned in Introduction to Tai Chi Chuan. Students will be introduced to Yang Style Short Form postures 17 - 37, completing the Yang Style Short Form. You will refine your appreciation of how the slow, moving meditation martial art can become a daily practice for relaxation, centering, balance, and rhythmic self-renewal for mind and body health. Emphasis will be on relaxation, breath, efficient movement mechanics and footwork, and rhythmic flow. Prerequisite: Introduction to Tai Chi Chuan.

Dr. Richard "Doc" Stull is an HSU Professor Emeritus in the Departments of Kinesiology ,and Recreation Administration. He taught a credit class in Tai Chi Chuan for 26 years. Doc is known for his unusual versatility in Tai Chi (from the poetic to the physics of the Yang Style Short Form). He is also known for his colorful storytelling, radio and spoken word performances, and creative and inspirational teaching. Doc originally came to Humboldt County in 1979. He has practiced Tai Chi Chuan for 41 years.
