The North Coast has some of the most scenic and pristine waterways from Humboldt Bay to the local lagoons, and river estuaries for recreational kayaking. The experienced and professional guiding team can give you the skills and confidence to be able to explore areas on your own. Instructors will cover boat handling, tides, currents, weather, and water safety considerations.This is the third of four introductory recreational kayaking classes. Beginners are still welcome and able to join! Experienced and professional instructors will continue to build on boat handling, paddling efficiency, and safety techniques. Instructors will also introduce and demonstrate intermediate techniques such as self and assisted rescues, channel traffic, signals, and more advanced paddle strokes. A release of liability form is required.

Larry loves to share his passion for kayaking and the outdoors through a deep involvement in our local sea kayaking club, Explore North Coast.

Mike Zeppegno has been sea kayaking and instructing for over ten years. He was nationally recognized as the "Instructor of the Month" by the American Canoe Association in 2015. He has been presented with many opportunities to instruct and share his passion for paddling through the local Explore North Coast Kayak Club and the Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center.
