From Vine to Table is a wine studies certificate program consisting of four intensive seminars on winemaking, grape farming, palate development and marketing. The program takes aspiring wine professionals from novice to in-the-know.

Pam Long

Pam Long

Pam Long has worked in the California wine industry for the past decade. Areas of expertise include wine education, direct-to-consumer sales, marketing, event planning and hospitality management. She is currently studying for her master of wine diploma through the Wines & Spirits Education Trust (WSET).

 

Elizabeth Hans McCrone

Elizabeth Hans McCrone

Elizabeth Hans McCrone has an extensive background in media, public relations, teaching and wine education. She holds a master's degree in broadcast communication arts, a bachelor's degree in journalism, and a certificate in wine studies. She taught in the HSU Department of Journalism and Mass Communications as adjunct faculty for 17 years. For the past several years, she has worked at Francis Ford Coppola Winery in Sonoma County as a trade tour host, wine family associate and tasting room associate. In addition, she is a writer for the Wine Industry Network, a prominent, online wine trade publication.

Wil Franklin

Wil Franklin received his B.S. and M.A. at HSU in botany and mycology. He taught botany and biology at Bryn Mawr College in Penn., while also working in wine imports and retailing. Wil is the winemaker and vineyard manager for Trinity River Vineyards and Stargazer Barn in Humboldt County.
