Develop your understanding of the basic craft of smaller-scale commercial winemaking; explore methods of producing wines of balance and complexity; and gain hands-on experience in a commercial winery. This is an intensive one-day course spent at a local winery learning in a hands-on environment. Suitable for aspiring home winemakers. Lunch and a local wine tasting are included.

Wil Franklin

Wil Franklin received his B.S. and M.A. at Humboldt State University in botany and mycology. He taught botany and biology at Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania, while also working in wine imports and retailing. Wil is the winemaker and vineyard manager for Trinity River Vineyards and Stargazer Barn in Humboldt County.
