Faculty Preparation: Teaching in Higher Education Online Certificate

This two-semester, 12-unit ONLINE certificate program prepares you to teach in higher education and specifically addresses both online teaching techniques and face to face classroom strategies, creating accessible learning environments, presenting anti-racist teaching and learning, and recognizing culturally relevant pedagogy.

The Certificate in Faculty Preparation: Teaching in Higher Education program is designed to meet the needs of current faculty and aspiring faculty who are interested in enhancing careers, developing excellent online teaching skills, and/or pursuing teaching in community colleges and universities.

Enhance your marketability by completing this online certificate from Humboldt to demonstrate your pedagogical knowledge and readiness to work in the college environment. The program is an eligible Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) training providing in the state of California.

A new cohort begins each August. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Apply now! 

Courses must be taken sequentially, starting in the fall. The fees for the certificate program are $220 per unit. A 3-unit class will therefore cost $660. All fees are subject to revision. Fees are due and payable upon registration for each course. Registrations cannot be processed without valid payment information.
