Adobe Lightroom: From Camera to Print

With Nicole Jean Hill

This course provides a more detailed exploration of imaging software to create gorgeous, colorful pigment prints. A concise digital workflow will be explored in the quest for the perfect print.

This course will include creation and discussion of a portfolio of archival color prints. Composition, editing and sequencing will be examined during group critiques. Images will be uploaded, edited and printed in a 24-station iMac lab equipped with large format Epson printers.

  • Adobe Lightroom
  • File management
  • Importing
  • Image editing workflow
  • Preparing files for printing.

Prerequisite: Students should come prepared with images they have already created on a hard drive or memory card. For ages 16 years or older.

Nicole Jean Hill is a professor of art at Humboldt State University. Her photographs and videos have been exhibited nationally and internationally, including the Blue Sky Gallery in Portland, Oregon, the Australia Center for Photography in Sydney and the Jen Bekman Gallery in New York City.
