Campus Closed Through the Weekend Amid Ongoing Protest

ARCATA, California — Protesters continue to occupy Siemens Hall, plus another building at Cal Poly Humboldt. Campus will now be closed through the weekend, and work and instruction continue to be remote. The University is making various contingency plans, including possibly keeping campus closed beyond that.  - April 24, 2024 - 2:14 p.m.

Guiamar Hiegert

Guia  Hiegert is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of successful experience in nonprofit management, development and training. She has extensive experience in fundraising, board development, program planning and implementation, volunteer management and staff and volunteer training. She has served as lead faculty for The Fund Raising School, an international training program for the Center on Philanthropy of Indiana and Purdue Universities. In 2007, she created the North Coast Fund Raising Institute, a training program designed to reach out to Northern California and Southern Oregon to meet the needs of not-for-profit organizations that have little or no access to professional training in this largely rural area.
