Chiara Brasini was born to an Italian mother and an American father, and raised in the rolling hills of central Italy. She received a B.A. in Asian languages and culture at La Sapienza University of Rome. She taught Italian language to high school Chinese students in Beijing for four months, then continued to give private lessons to foreign students in Rome. Chiara moved to California three years ago and she decided to live in Humboldt for its incredible wildlife. Being far from home has made her rediscover the beauty of Italy, and she would like to share the charm of her country and its own language and culture with this community.
