‌Campus Closed Through the Weekend Amid Ongoing Protest

ARCATA, California — Protesters continue to occupy Siemens Hall, plus another building at Cal Poly Humboldt. Campus will now be closed through the weekend, and work and instruction continue to be remote. The University is making various contingency plans, including possibly keeping campus closed beyond that.  - April 24, 2024 - 2:14 p.m.

OLLI Registration Information

At the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Cal Poly Humboldt (OLLI at Humboldt), everyone benefits from lifelong learning. OLLI at Humboldt creates opportunities for academic engagement, civic involvement, personal growth, and fun. By offering a myriad of classes and experiences for a vibrant community of learners aged 50 and better, OLLI delivers learning for a lifetime. 

Annual OLLI membership starts on July 1 and ends on June 30 the following year. OLLI members get first priority registration for classes. You can download and print the form or use the online form to join or register.

Anyone over age 18 may register for an OLLI class: there are options for those who are not yet 50 and for those don't live in the area. Nonmembers pay an additional fee per class to enroll. Please note that nonmembers may be dropped from the class if it fills, as OLLI members get first priority registration for classes up until the week before the class begins. Note that OLLI classes are designed for lifelong learners 50 and better, but are open to all learners over 18.

In most cases, registrations received before 4 p.m. are processed on the same day they are received. During peak times, registration may take longer, and will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis. We try to prioritize by class start date when possible. Enrollment capacity in courses vary, based on location and instructor preference.

We ask that you register for a class three business days before the class start date, to meet enrollment minimums, and to secure a space in our most popular classes. If a class becomes full, we will add interested students to a wait list and may add an additional option if there is enough interest. In the event of class cancelation, all fees are returned.

The OLLI at Humboldt office is located within the College of Extended Education & Global Engagement on the Cal Poly Humboldt campus on the second floor of the Student Services Building on Harpst St. Office hours are Mon.-Fri., 9 a.m.-4 p.m. (closed 12-1 p.m.) with the exception of holiday and campus closure dates.

We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, check and cash. All fees must be paid in full for enrollment to be valid. Incomplete or illegible registration forms may cause delay. Partial scholarships for current OLLI members are available to help offset class fees for OLLI members with financial need. See the OLLI scholarships page for information on how to apply.
