The circus is coming to town! In celebration of the Studio School’s 25th Anniversary, we’ll be staging a multimedia circus experience.
Students will write and perform their own sketches, learn rudimentary music skills on a variety of instruments (ukulele, drums, percussion, etc.), and create a series of visual arts stagecrafts for a culminating carnival that will occur on the last session.
Art projects will include: tie-dying t-shirts, designing posters and fliers, building stage pieces, and designing/decorating our circus tent space.
The course will be taught by local artist KT Garcia, along with students from the HSU Art Education Area's Service Learning Cohort and Jim Woglom, HSU art education faculty.
